FOR THE FIRST FIVE DATES, COPENHAGEN THROUGH TO ADELAIDE, DRUMMER JIMMY NICOL REPLACED RINGO DUE TO HIS TONSILLITIS SURGERY. RINGO REJOINED THE GROUP ON JUNE 15 IN MELBOURNE.

THE BEATLES ARRIVED IN AUSTRALIA ON THURSDAY JUNE 11, 1964, FLYING DIRECT FROM HONG KONG. THE GROUP AND PLAYED A MOST GRUELING HECTIC TOUR THROUGHOUT THE REGION "DOWN UNDER" TO JUNE 30. THE FOUR BEATLES SIGNED THE MENU AFTER CHANGING PLANES IN SYDNEY THAT TOOK THEM TO THE STOPOVER IN SINGAPORE. THE CRISPNESS & CLARITY OF THESE SIGNATURES ARE BREATH-TAKING IN PERSON, AND OUR SCANS DOES NOT DO JUSTICE. PAUL, RINGO and JOHN have signed in BLACK ballpoint pen and GEORGE in BLUE ballpoint pen. IN ADDITION, THE INDIVIDUAL WHO ACQUIRED THE SIGNATURES SCRIBBLED DOWN DETAILED MEMORIES OF THE EVENT ON THAT DAY, INCLUDING THE LEG OF THE TRIP, THE DATE, AND WONDERFUL PERSONAL ANECDOTES ABOUT EACH OF THE BEATLES.
