  ALL THINGS MUST PASS
APPLE STCH-639
ISSUED: 11/27/70

STILL SEALED - WITH RARE 3" X 3" TRANSPARENT HYPE STICKER

GEORGE HARRISON'S FIRST CONVENTIONAL SOLO ALBUM, "ALL THINGS MUST PASS" WAS RELEASED IN THE U.S. ON NOVEMBER 27, 1970. THE OVERWHELMING FAVORABLE RESPONSE TO THE THREE RECORD BOX SET WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE FOR GEORGE, WHO HAD DOUBTS ABOUT HIS MASSIVE BACK-LOG OF SONGS WRITTEN DURING THE PERIOD THAT SAW THE END OF THE BEATLES AS A GROUP.

GEORGE'S LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN HIS SONGWRITING IS NOT SURPRISING CONSIDERING THAT HE WAS OVERSHADOWED BY JOHN AND PAUL. FURTHERMORE, THE PAIR SHOWED LITTLE INTEREST IN HAVING THE BEATLES RECORD HIS SONGS, AND DURING THE "GET BACK" SESSIONS, GEORGE DISCUSSED DOING A SOLO ALBUM. HE ACCEPTED THE FACT THAT HE WOULD NEVER BE GIVEN EQUAL TREATMENT IN THE BEATLES REGARDING THE RECORDING OF HIS SONGS, AND BEGAN WORK ON THE ALBUM SHORTLY AFTER PAUL ANNOUNCED HE HAD QUIT THE BEATLES AND WAS RELEASING A SOLO ALBUM OF HIS OWN.

HERE WE OFFER A STILL SEALED ORIGINAL 1970 PRESSING OF THE THREE LP BOX SET, WHICH WAS ISSUED WITH LYRIC LINER SLEEVES AND A 24"X36" POSTER. THE ORANGE APPLE LABELS ARE ON TWO DISCS, AND THE THIRD HAS A CUSTOM "APPLE JAM" LABEL. THERE ARE FOUR FACTORY SHRINK "BREATH HOLES" (TWO ON THE FRONT, TWO ON BACK).

THE RARE TRANSPARENT HYPE STICKER WITH BROWN PRINT REMAINS ADHERED TO SHRINKWRAP.

THREE MINOR FLAWS ARE: A 5" SHRINK SEAM SPLIT STARTING AT THE LEFT ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE, LEFT BOTTOM CORNER OF THE BOX IS EXPOSED DUE TO SOME MISSING SHRINK IN THAT AREA., AND LASTLY A SMALL PIECE OF SHRINK IS MISSING FROM LEFT TOP CORNER. THESE ISSUES DO NOT HAVE ANY AFFECT TO THE BOX WHATSOEVER, AND THOSE CORNERS REMAINS SHARP, AS DO THE OTHER TWO CORNERS OF THE BOX. NO OTHER SHRINK TEARS OR BUMPS. A MOST WONDERFUL SEALED, UNOPENED EXAMPLE OF THIS CLASSIC, ORIGINAL ISSUE OF THE GEORGE HARRISON SOLO MASTERPIECE.

CONDITION: STILL SEALED
ITEM#: GH067
PRICE: $1,550

  CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH
APPLE SCTX-3385
ISSUED: 12/20/71

STILL SEALED - ORIGINAL 1971 THREE LP BOX SET OF THE LIVE CONCERT PERFORMANCE. WITH 64 PAGE PHOTO BOOKLET, CUSTOM TAN INNER LINER SLEEVES.

FOUR DAYS AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE "BANGLADESH" 45 SINGLE, GEORGE HARRISON AND FRIENDS PLAYED TWO CONCERTS AT NEW YORK'S MADISON SQUARE GARDEN TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE REFUGEE CHILDREN OF BANGLADESH. THE AUGUST 11, 1971 PERFORMANCES WERE FILMED AND RECORDED FOR RELEASE AS A FEATURE LENGTH MOVIE AND LIVE ALBUM.

APPLE PUT TOGETHER A THREE-RECORD BOX SET OF THE EVENT. ALTHOUGH GEORGE HOPED TO RELEASE THE ALBUM ON A MUCH EARLIER DATE TO CAPTURE HOLIDAY SALES, "THE CONCERT FOR BANGLADESH" DID NOT REACH STORES UNTIL DECEMBER 20, 1971.

THE SET IS PACKAGED IN A 12" X 12" UNHINGED ORANGE TEXTURED BOX, CONSTRUCTED WITH PAPER SLICKS THAT WRAP INTO THE ORANGE-COLORED INSIDE OF THE BOX. THE ALBUMS CAME WITH A 10" x 11" 64-PAGE FULL-COLOR SOUVENIR BOOK. ALL THREE RECORDS CAME HOUSED IN CUSTOM DIE-CUT CENTER TAN INNER SLEEVE DUST JACKETS.

HERE WE OFFER A MOST STUNNING STILL SEALED EXAMPLE OF THE ORIGINAL1970 ISSUE OF THIS RELEASE.
