This album was the FIRST SOLO RECORD project
by any of the four members apart from The Beatles.

Extremely tight seal corner to corner, especially at mouth opening.
No rips, No tears. No yellowing.
3 factory shrink "breath holes" evident (2 on front Cover, 1 on back Cover).

This Solo Title is very difficult to acquire STILL SEALED,
and this STEREO example is a winner -
virtually PERFECT. Stellar corner to corner.

Paul's first solo effort, and released during the Beatles breakup.
A very difficult LP to find in this condition :

This Sealed example is a TRUE BEAUTY.
tight and clean seal, ESPECIALLY AT MOUTH OPENING.
minor flawS ARE a 1" sHRINK SPLIT in upper left corner due
to tight seal, AND SMALL CORNER PUSH IN BOTTOM LEFT.
OTHERWISE A TREMENDOUS SEALED EXAMPLE OF THIS TITLE !!

WITH THE "ABKCO" PRINT ON BACK COVER.

WHILE A COVER FEATURING GEORGE, PAUL, RINGO AND JOHN WALKING ACROSS ABBEY ROAD
NEEDED NO TEXT TO LET CONSUMERS KNOW IT WAS A BEATLES ALBUM,
CAPITOL AND APPLE WERE RIGHTLY CONCERNED THAT THE PHOTO OF
DENNY, PAUL LINDA AND THE OTHER DENNY WOULD BE INSUFFICIENT TO LET
RECORDS BUYERS KNOW THEY WERE LOOKING AT THE NEW WINGS LP.
TO SOLVE THIS, CAPITOL PLACED A 4½" x 2" GREEN STICKER WITH
YELLOW PRINT (APP3386.S1, SPIZER) ON THE FRONT SHRINKWRAP TO SEVERAL OF THE COVERS :

 

LATER REALIZING THAT MANY PEOPLE STILL DID NOT KNOW THAT WINGS WAS PAUL'S NEW BAND,
A NEW 2¾" x 1" STICKER WAS PREPARED :

IT HAS "PAUL McCARTNEY AND FRIENDS" IN BLUE OVER A WHITE RECTANGLE
(APP3386.S2, SPIZER, PG. 143).
THE IMAGE OF THIS STICKER IS NOT FOUND IN BRUCE SPIZER'S
MARVELOUS BOOK THE BEATLES SOLO ON APPLE RECORDS.
THIS STICKER IS RARELY FOUND, ESPECIALLY ADHERED ALONG AND PAIRED
WITH THE MORE COMMON GREEN STICKER !! THIS COPY HAS THE BEST OF BOTH VARIATIONS !
