MEET THE BEATLES
Capitol T-2047 MONO
Released 1/20/64
Factory # 3 on back
cover, Scranton, PA.
Extremely tight seal from corner to corner. Simply beautiful.
Mouth opening is sealed tight as a drum with NO breaks at all.
4 factory shrink "breath holes" evident (2 on front Cover, 2 on back
Cover).
Truly one of the
best sealed examples we have
ever acquired of Capitol's first Beatles LP Release.
This LP is an original first-issue Mono (CAP 2047.MC1A, Spizer),
indicated by "BEATLES !" in the brown lettering, and the Back Cover
does not have the listing print "Produced by GEORGE MARTIN".
Front Cover graphics are
bright, bold and very crisp. No ringwear anywhere.

Back Cover remains a
brilliant snow white. Absolutely glorious.
Only minor flaw is a millimeter spot of "air mellowing", which is directly under the
area of the factory "breath hole", near the shrink seam on upper left of Back Cover :

The spine is stunning, and print is absolutely centered.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY
HINT OF "BROWNING" OR "MELLOWING" THAT APPEAR IN ANY WHITE EDGE AREAS
OF THIS ITEM IS CAUSED BY THE CAMERA ANGLE AND ITS FLASH. ALL WHITE AREAS ARE
CLEAN).

The Beatles'
Second Album
Capitol T-2080 MONO
Released 4/10/64
No factory number on back cover.
Extremely tight seal corner to corner. No rips, No tears.
2 factory shrink "breath holes" evident on Front
Cover.
Vital factor concerning this example is that the ROYAL BLUE Inner Sleeve
(Very Early 1964 Capitol sleeve) is visible through mouth opening. This truly
designates
that this particular LP is the very initial pressing of this title.
In addition, the weight of this LP is heavy (thick),
signifying the record is an early
pressing.
Front Cover graphics and colors are
STUPENDOUS. A brilliant white sheen remains.

Only two flaws are : a
small push to the upper left corner tip. Also, there is a small
2" wrap separation in the center area to the mouth opening
(where the Royal Blue inner sleeve is clearly visible). Cover is not affected in
that area.
No other wear is evident to this title, which is one of the most difficult to
find Sealed.
Back Cover remains a
BRILLIANT clean and shiny SNOW white.
NO ringwear :

The spine is rock solid, and absolutely centered :

THE LP IS ACCOMPANIED BY A LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY
FROM

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY
HINT OF "BROWNING" OR "MELLOWING" THAT APPEAR IN ANY WHITE EDGE AREAS

Front Cover graphics and

Only minor flaw is due to such a tight seal, where the
upper right corner millimeter tip of Cover peaks through shrink. No other wear
is evident to this title, which is one of the most difficult to find Sealed.

This release did not have factory number on back cover.
Red Rust Inner Sleeves (Late 1964 Capitol sleeve)
are visible through
mouth openings.
4 factory shrink "breath holes" evident ( 2 on front, 2 on back).
Extremely tight seal corner to corner. No rips, No tears.
This remarkable Sealed
example is a West Coast (Los Angeles) factory pressing,
dictated by the "cream" tone colored wrap-around Slick that is evident.

Only 1 minor flaw is a 1" shrink seam
separation at the top center.
Cover is not affected at all in that area.

The spine is INCREDIBLE - perfectly squared and print is sharp and clear :

The mouth opening remains tightly Sealed, with NO breaks
and the Late 1964 Red Rust Inner Sleeves are visible :

Stereo copies of Beatles
albums manufactured prior to 1966 are significantly RARER
than their Mono counterparts. It's estimated that only
FIFTEEN

Stereo prefix and number "SMAL 2835" in white in the
upper right corner of the back cover.
The weight of this LP is heavy (thick), signifying the record is an early pressing.
On the side spine "STEREO" is printed in black on the left end.
The Capitol "Dome" Logo with "2835" is printed in black near the bottom right end of the spine,
signifying this is indeed a first issue. The spine is nicely squared and print is clear.
Front and back cover images are stunning. Bold, crisp and colorful, vibrant tones.
No ringwear or other distractions. White edges are crisp and clean.
Only minor flaw is shrink pulled back a millimeter on tips
of upper and lower right corners only.
This is a most beautiful example of this title and just think -
the enclosed Booklet inside the Gatefold has never seen the light of day.

ALAN LIVINGSTON
SERIAL NUMBER
A 0466231
Item
# LP004
Price $6,000
This most stellar example of this
classic Beatles double-album,
emanates from the private collection of
Alan Livingston, who was the former President of
Capitol Records from 1962 - 1968.
Mr. Livingston signed The Beatles to the Capitol label towards the end
of 1963,
when prior to that time, the group had been turned down by every major
record company in the United States. The rest is history.
Our digital images of this world class, investment grade, UNCIRCULATED
"Factory Fresh New" Still Sealed LP, tells the complete story.
It is only one of two personal copies from Mr. Livingston's collection.
The "snow white" tone of this example is blinding, and justifies that it
went
to Mr. Livingston directly from the Los Angeles Capitol factory.

This serial number dictates that
this LP came from the VERY FIRST block
of numbers, which started with 26 and running near 590,000.
This batch was assigned to the company Bert-Co of Los Angeles.
These covers have numbers preceded by a wide short "A" and
and space preceding the numbers. After the Bert-Co numbered covers
passed 100, the numbers are preceded by a series of zeros.
These covers
are found with discs pressed by the Los Angeles factory.

1 factory shrink "breath hole" is evident on front cover, as seen in the image below :

This LP was acquired directly from
Mr. Livingston by renowned
Beatles expert and author Perry Cox in 1989, and a signed Letter
to that affect from Mr. Livingston accompanies the album.
Fab 4 Collectibles has recently acquired the LP from Mr. Cox.

THE LP IS ACCOMPANIED BY A LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY
FROM
PERRY COX,
WHO ACCURATELY AND CONCISELY
DESCRIBES THIS PIECE :

Abbey Road
Apple SO 383 Stereo
Released 10/1/69SHORT HISTORY OF THE 3 ABBEY ROAD COVER VARIATIONS
Abbey Road (released October 1, 1969) was the first Beatles album in America
packaged with print-on-board covers. These covers involved
the process of printing the cover image directly onto white
posterboard, which is then folded and glued to form the album jacket.
The previous Beatles album covers were constructed by affixing separately
printed slicks to cardboard jackets. The new print-on-board covers were a
superior looking package. Another advantage was that these covers
were manufactured by one company, whereas the older style covers
involved both a printer and an album fabricator.
Capitol documents indicate that the album's artwork was shipped on September 11,1969.
COVER # 1 : FIRST BATCH
The first batch of covers (SC1A, Spizer) do not list Her Majesty on the
back cover track listing. The front cover has more of the crosswalk at the
bottom edge of the cover, and includes a portion of a square road sewer
positioned on the bottom edge of the cover, beneath Ringo and John's feet.
This original 1st issue is the most elusive and have become very difficult to acquire Sealed.
COVER # 2 : SECOND BATCH
Prior to the album going on sale, Capitol had the film for the back cover
revised to list the song Her Majesty after The End.
By the time the new artwork was sent out on September 24, many covers had been
printed. Thus, the SECOND BATCH of jacket covers listing Her Majesty (SC1B, Spizer)
are less common and rarer than the covers not listing the song.
The front cover image has the exact characteristics of Cover # 1 : more of the crosswalk
at the bottom edge of the cover, and includes a portion of a square road sewer
positioned on the bottom edge of the cover, beneath Ringo and John's feet.
COVER # 3 : THIRD BATCH
Abbey Road ended up being the only Beatles album to have print-on-board covers
upon its initial release. Although Capitol was pleased with the print-on-board jackets,
future decisions regarding the mastering, packaging and advertising of Apple
releases were handled directly by Apple by very loyal individuals who had a
long-standing relationship with Queens Litho and selected them again to be
the primary printer of cover slicks for future Beatles albums starting with Hey Jude.
When Capitol's pressing plants ran out of the print-on-board covers,
Apple hired Queens Litho to print slicks for additional Abbey Road jackets.
These THIRD (and final) BATCH Covers (SC2A, Spizer) used slicks printed by
Queens Litho and Bert-Co and were manufactured by Imperial and/or
Modern Album. The back cover slicks were made from the album's
original artwork and accordingly do not list Her Majesty on the back cover.
The front cover image was enlarged to allow for the front slick to be wrapped
around to the back cover. Thus, the picture on the front shows less of the
trees and crosswalk (the square sewer in the road is missing) and has
a larger image of the Beatles.

Abbey Road Cover # 1 (SC1A, Spizer).
Extremely tight seal corner to corner.
2 factory shrink "breath holes" evident on front cover.
This is the very first issue which has the First Batch Cover

which does NOT list the song title Her Majesty on the Back Cover track listing.
Only minor flaw is a 1¾" X ½" shrink slice on the Front Cover over
the trees area on the right. Shrink is still attached with no affect at all to the Cover.
This is so very minor, yet described here for complete accuracy.
This original 1st issue First Batch Cover is the most elusive and have become very
difficult to acquire Sealed. A sensational example from corner to corner.

Let It Be
Apple AR 34001 Stereo
Released 5/18/70
Item # LP146 Price $825
Extremely tight seal corner to corner, especially along the gatefold and mouth opening.
2 factory shrink "breath holes" evident on front cover.
Only minor flaws are 3 very small ¼" shrink tears : one on top seam of shrink over John,
one on bottom seam of shrink near left corner, and due to such a tight seal, the bottom right corner
shrink is pulled back a millimeter and corner of corners peeks through.
This is the extent of shrink wear worth describing.
Colors and graphics remain vibrant and crisp.
There is absolutely no ringwear or record impression anywhere on this black cover.
This Apple gatefold first pressing release is a most excellent and beautiful example.

Made available exclusively to Fan Club Members Only

Although the Beatles breakup became
public in April 1970, the Official Beatles Fan Club
continued with its

Instead, members of the
British and U.S. fan clubs received an exclusive
long-playing album containing the
Christmas messages
from the 1963 through 1969 flexi-discs.
For American Beatles fans who had faced their

To make sure that the condition of the
Sealed

(Note the designation of *XA* on the mailing label, which stands for "Xmas

we were the very first to carefully open the mailer (4/18/08),
since it was shipped on July 21, 1971.

Lo and behold, indeed, a virtually perfect gorgeous example was still inside, and one
will be hard-pressed to find one like this. The LP hasn't seen the light of day
since 1971 !
And of course, the rare Mailer will be included.
