  DESCRIPTION

VEE-JAY PREPARED NEW COVERS FOR THE REVAMPED VERSION TWO ALBUM, WHICH IS SOMETIMES REFERRED TO AS THE "PLEASE PLEASE ME VERSION" OR THE "ASK ME WHY  VERSION". THE FRONT COVER OF THE ALBUM IS THE SAME AS THE VERSION ONE COVER WITHOUT "PRINTED IN THE U.S.A.". THE BACK COVER IS IDENTICAL TO THE TITLES ON BACK VARIATION OF VERSION ONE, EXCEPT FOR THE SUBSTITUTION OF THE TITLES OF THE TWO SONGS THAT REPLACED "LOVE ME DO" AND "P.S. I LOVE YOU".

THE MOST COMMON STEREO FRONT COVER FOR THE VERSION TWO VARIATION HAS A WHITE TOP BANNER WITH "STEREOPHONIC" CENTERED IN GREY AND THE NUMBER "SR1062" IN BLACK IN THE UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER. WHEN PRESSING PLANTS RAN OUT OF THESE STEREO COVERS, THEY DID NOT WAIT FOR NEW COVERS TO ARRIVE. INSTEAD, THEY CONVERTED MONO COVERS INTO STEREO COVERS BY EITHER PLACING STICKERS (THERE ARE TWO STICKERED VERSIONS) OR BY EMBOSSING THE COVERS.

AT LAST, FAB COLLECTIBLES IS PLEASED TO FINALLY OFFER THE MOST INTERESTING, RAREST AND MOST SOUGHT AFTER VARIATION TO THE STEREO ISSUE OF THE VERSION TWO COVER. IT IS THE EMBOSSED VERSION (VJ1062(2).SC4, SPIZER) WITH "STEREOPHONIC" AND "SR 1062" MACHINE STAMPED IN BLACK PRINT AT THE TOP OF THE COVER. THIS  EMBOSSED VARIATION NORMALLY IS FOUND WITH "PLEASE, PLEASE ME" (WITH COMMA) AND THE NUMBER "2" IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER ON THE BACK COVER. THESE FACTORS ARE INDEED FOUND ON THIS EXAMPLE.

THE CONDITION OF THIS RARE COVER IS A SOLID, BRIGHT AND VIBRANT NEAR MINT, WITH SOME VERY LIGHT SPORADIC WEAR ON THE FRONT. THE COVER REMAINS SOLID THROUGHOUT. AND THE SEAMS ARE FIRM. THE SPINE IS MERE PERFECTION WITH THE PRINT VISIBLE AND LEGIBLE THROUGHOUT. THE BACK COLUMNS AND SONG TITLES PRINT ARE ALL DARK, BOLD AND PRESENT.

THE ORIGINAL ACCOMPANYING VERSION TWO RECORD FEATURES THE LABEL VARIATION WITH THE COLORBAND AND BRACKETS LOGO
(VJ1062(2).SR2B(ii)(b), SPIZER). IT HAS LEFT JUSTIFIED SONG TITLES AND SONGWRITERS' CREDITS WITH "INTRODUCING the BEATLES" AND WITHOUT THE WORDS "LONG PLAYING" AND "MICROGROOVE" ON THE LABEL WITH "STEREO" AT 3 O'CLOCK. THE WORD "SIDE" IS IN UPPER CASE LETTERING ON BOTH SIDES. THE TRAIL-OFF AREAS HAVE THE HAND ETCHED "URJ" ON BOTH SIDES MATRIX NUMBER "S 63-3402-S" AND JOB NUMBER "∆6313" ON SIDE 1 AND MATRIX NUMBER "S 63-3403-S" AND JOB NUMBER "6313X" ON SIDE 2. THE "MR" LOGO ALSO APPEARS ON BOTH SIDES. THESE RECORDS WERE PRESSED BY MONARCH RECORDS. THE CONDITION OF THIS RECORD IS AN ASTONISHING AND REMARKABLE MINT UNPLAYED JEWEL.

HERE IS ONE OF THE TRULY RARE VEE-JAY COVER VARIATIONS IN STUPENDOUS CONDITION - AND THE VERY FIRST OF THIS STEREO COVER WE HAVE EVER OFFERED OVER THE YEARS.
