  DESCRIPTION

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

BY FAR, THE RAREST LABEL VARIATION OF ANY "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" MONO RECORD IS THE ALL BLACK LABEL WITH SILVER PRINT FEATURING THE SMALL BRACKETS LOGO (VJ1062(2).MR6, SPIZER). ALL OTHER BASIC VEE-JAY LABEL STYLES RATE SUBSTANTIALLY BELOW THIS VARIATION IN TERMS OF RARITY. THIS LABEL VARIATION ALSO RIVALS MOST OF THE STEREO VEE-JAY LABEL RARITIES AS WELL.

THIS DISC HAS THE SAME TYPESETTING STYLES EVIDENT IN OTHER VEE-JAY LABELS THAT HAS LEFT JUSTIFIED SONG TITLES AND CREDITS (LISTED IN BRUCE SPIZER'S VEE-JAY LABEL CODES (VJ1062(2).MR1A AND MR2C), ALSO INCLUDING THE MIS-SPELLED COMPOSER CREDITS "COFFIN-KING" (SHOULD READ "GOFFIN-KING"), WITH "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES", "MICROGROOVE" AND "LONG PLAYING" ON THE LABEL. THIS RECORD WAS MANUFACTURED BY SOUTHERN PLASTICS.

WHEN THIS VARIATION DOES SURFACE, THEY ARE USUALLY DISCOVERED IN HORRENDOUS CONDITION, DISPLAYING MUCH WEAR AND TEARING AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE DUE TO THE DARK BLACK PAPER LABELS. THIS EXAMPLE IS A MAGNIFICENT AND STELLAR NEAR MINT THROUGHOUT ON BOTH THE VINYL AND LABELS. THE LABEL SPINDLE HOLE AREA DISPLAYS A FEW PLAYS ON EACH SIDE PERHAPS, BUT WAS EXECUTED VERY CAREFULLY, LEAVING NO MARKS OR NEEDLE WEAR AT ALL. HERE IS THE RAREST VEE-JAY LABEL VARIATION IN MAGNIFICENT CONDITION AND ONLY THE SECOND EXAMPLE WE HAVE EVER OFFERED OVER THE YEARS, YET THIS ONE IS PURELY NEAR MINT.

THE ACCOMPANYING COVER ALSO GRADES A STUNNING NEAR MINT, WITH NO RINGWEAR, NO SEAM SPLITS, AND FOUR SHARP CORNERS. THE COLORS AND GRAPHICS REMAIN BOLD, BRIGHT AND CRISP WITH A BRILLIANT SHEEN FROM CORNER TO CORNER. THE SPINE IS NEARLY PERFECT - SOLID, CENTERED AND COMPLETELY LEGIBLE. THE BACK ALSO BEARS THE RED INK STAMP IN THE LOWER RIGHT AREA, THAT HAVE BEEN EVIDENT ON SO MANY VEE-JAY ORIGINALS. THE ORIGIN OR PURPOSE OF THIS STAMP HAS NEVER BEEN EXPLAINED, BUT HAS BEEN PRESENT FROM THAT TIME.

THIS EXAMPLE IS SIMPLY AN OUTSTANDING WORLD CLASS EXAMPLE OF ONE OF THE RAREST U.S. BEATLES ALBUMS OF ALL TIME AND MOST INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION. FOR THE "COMPLET-IST" BEATLES RECORD COLLECTOR, IT WOULD BE AN IMPERATIVE ADDITION

IN ADDITION, THE ORIGINAL VEE-JAY "AD BACK" INNER SLEEVE IS ALSO THERE IN THIS SET.

ACCOMPANIED BY A LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY FROM PERRY COX, BEATLES U.S. RECORDS EXPERT AND AUTHOR OF "THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE" SERIES OF BOOKS.
