In 1967, Beatles Manager Brian Epstein died, and, concurrently, the newly formed Apple Records, which was owned individually by the Beatles, was floundering. After Brian's death, the Beatles approached well-known "Promoter to the Stars" Pete Bennett, and asked if he would take over as Promotional Manager for the group (he was then working with the Rolling Stones), and the Apple label in the United States.

In early 1968, Pete promoted the phenomenal first Apple single, Hey Jude. All told, Pete promoted five albums for the Beatles, plus a number of re-releases. The albums were: Magical Mystery Tour, The White Album, Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, Let it Be, and finally the Limited Fan Club 1970 The Beatles Christmas Album.

He worked intimately with all the Beatles, and with their producer, George Martin. After the band's breakup, he became the Promotion Manager for all four of the Beatles individually. After the Beatles breakup, he promoted the last Beatles album, Let it Be, which was produced by Phil Spector.

UNFORTUNATELY, PETE BENNETT died ON THANKSGIVING DAY, Thursday, NOVEMBER 22, 2012 of a heart attack at his home in Greenwich, CONNECTICUT AT THE AGE OF 77.

ON APRIL 19, 2005, MR. BENNETT HAD VISITED THE Fab 4 Collectibles OFFICE. IN ADDITION TO PURCHASING AN ORIGINAL ACETATE DISC OF "THE LONG AND WINDING ROAD" from him, WE haD ALSO acquired a full box of TEN STILL SEALED, PRISTINE examples of "THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM.

FOLLOWING THE SALE OF NINE OF THESE ALBUMS OVER THE YEARS, WE NOW MAKE AVAILABLE THE VERY LAST COPY OF THE PETE BENNETT SEALED COLLECTION.

"THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM" IS A “LIMITED EDITION” LP AND WAS MADE AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY TO FAN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY, JUST PRIOR TO THE 1970 CHRISTMAS SEASON AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER.

ALTHOUGH THE BEATLES BREAKUP BECAME PUBLIC IN APRIL 1970, THE OFFICIAL BEATLES FAN CLUB CONTINUED WITH ITS ACTIVITIES. WITH THE GROUP NO LONGER IN EXISTENCE, THERE WAS NO CHANCE OF ISSUING A NEW ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DISC MESSAGE FOR THE 1970 HOLIDAY SEASON. INSTEAD, MEMBERS OF THE BRITISH AND U.S. FAN CLUBS RECEIVED AN EXCLUSIVE LONG-PLAYING ALBUM CONTAINING THE CHRISTMAS MESSAGES FROM THE 1963 THROUGH 1969 FLEXI-DISCS. FOR AMERICAN BEATLES FANS WHO HAD FACED THEIR FIRST YULE TIDE SEASON WITH THE KNOWLEDGE THAT THE BEATLES WERE NO MORE, THE FAN CLUB ALBUM WAS A BITTERSWEET REMINDER OF CHRISTMASES PAST.
