And I Love Her
b/w
Ringo's Theme (This Boy)
GEORGE MARTIN and HIS ORCHESTRA
United Artists UA-745, 1964
PICTURE SLEEVE

Although United Artists was not allowed to issue Beatles songs from the
soundtrack LP in the singles format, the label did release the
four George Martin instrumentals on 45s.

The first single pulled from the album was (UA745), and UA prepared a
terrific picture sleeve for the record. The front of the sleeve is similar to the
front cover of the soundtrack LP. It has the same four pictures of the boys and a
red backround area at the top of with text and graphics in black and white.

(ACTUAL SCANS OF SLEEVE) :

The back of the sleeve features nine of the
fifteen black and white photos from the back of the album :

The first UA picture sleeve (like it's "Airport Blue" counterpart UA750, see below)
is notoriously known for it's susceptibility to ringwear.
This example is close to perfection, graded as Store Stock Mint Minus.
All the edges remain sharp and straight !!
No splits or tears !! The white borders are crisp, and un-faded.

I Should Have Known Better
GEORGE MARTIN and HIS ORCHESTRA
United Artists UA-750, 1964
U L T R A - R A R E

PICTURE SLEEVE

Although United Artists was not allowed to issue Beatles songs from
the soundtrack LP in the singles format, the label did release
the four George Martin instrumentals on 45s.

The second George Martin single (UA750) is one of the RARER Beatles sleeves
available, for it's low numbers are due to United Artist's very Limited Press run,
and very few of the 45s were issued in this very attractive picture sleeve.

The front of the sleeve features a black and white picture of the group
with a vibrant blue backround rectangular box at the top. The text, graphics and
layout of the striking blue upper portion of the sleeve is similar to that of the
Red upper sleeve of the first United Artists Beatles single, UA745.

This most superb example of the "Airport Sleeve" (as it is known among Collectors)
is an absolute winner indeed, and was acquired from a prestigious, sterling
Collection that we have recently found.

(ACTUAL SCANS OF SLEEVE) :

The back of the sleeve has a black and white photograph standing with George Martin.

The condition of the sleeve is an extraordinary NEAR MINT ! The original sheen of the
sleeve radiates !!The bright blue portion is stunning !! The photo sections on both sides
are crystal clear.
It is a gem, to say the least and just short of being perfect !
All the edges remain sharp and straight !!
No splits or tears !! The white borders are a crisp, and un-faded. Just SENSATIONAL !

To find the "AIRPORT SLEEVE" in the condition offered here - impossible !!
Quite an acquisition indeed !
