MONO "BLANK BACK"

COVER REMAINS IN ORIGINAL
IN-STORE BAGGYWRAP

Accompanied by the RARE OVAL
45- SIZE LABEL VARIATION

THE SECOND VARIATION OF THE INTRODUCING THE BEATLES
BACK COVER IS ALSO SHROUDED IN MYSTERY AND SPECULATION
LIKE THAT OF ITS PREDECESSOR, THE AD BACK.
IT IS SIMILAR TO THE AD BACK IN THAT IT
CONTAINS NO INFORMATION REGARDING THE GROUP OR THE SONGS.
BUT WHILE THE AD BACK IS ONE OF THE MOST COLORFUL BACK COVERS
IN THE BEATLES CATALOG, THE SECOND VARIATION IS AT THE
OTHER SPECTRUM - A GLOSSY BLANK WHITE SLICK.
THIS VARIATION IS KNOWN AMONG COLLECTORS
AS THE BLANK BACK COVER.

SOME BELIEVE THAT THESE COVERS MAY BE THE RESULT
OF A PRODUCTION ERROR, OR PERHAPS THAT VEE-JAY
USED THESE COVERS FOR PROMOTIONAL ISSUES OF THE LP.
THE CORRECT HISTORICAL FACT IS THAT THE BLANK BACK WAS A
LIMITED AND SHORT TRANSITIONAL RUN THAT WAS A SUBSTITUTION
AFTER ALL AD BACK SLICKS HAD BEEN USED, BUT JUST PRIOR TO THE
RECEIPT OF THE THIRD BACK COVER THAT LISTED THE SONG TITLES.

IN ALL LIKELIHOOD, BLANK BACK COVERS WERE LIMITED
TO A FEW THOUSAND - AND WHILE WE MAY NEVER KNOW HOW MANY
VERSION ONE RECORDS WERE ISSUED IN BLANK BACK COVERS,
ONE THING IS CERTAIN : THESE VARIATIONS ARE EXTREMELY RARE.
IN ADDITION, DUE TO THE BLANK BACK WHITE SLICK'S PROPENSITY
TO ATTRACT AND SHOW DIRT, AGING AND WEAR AND TEAR,
NEAR MINT COPIES OF THIS VARIATION ARE EXTREMELY RARE.

OFFERED HERE IS THE VERY BEST EXAMPLE OF THE
RARE MONO "BLANK BACK" WE HAVE EVER SEEN.
THE COVER IS IN STUNNING NEAR MINT CONDITION,
REMAINING IN ITS ORIGINAL IN-STORE BAGGYWRAP.

(ACTUAL PHOTOS)

THE ONLY SIGNS OF WEAR ARE ON THE AREAS WHERE
THE BAGGYWRAP ENDS AT THE EDGE OF THE MOUTH OPENING.
THERE IS SIMPLY THE SLIGHTEST SIGN OF EDGE WEAR
ALONG THE MOUTH. ALSO, THE UPPER AND LOWER RIGHT TIP
CORNERS THAT PEAK OUT OF THE BAGGY, HAVE VERY MINIMAL
HANDLING WEAR. THAT IS THE EXTENT.

THE BACK COVER IS STUNNING AND REMAINS A SPOTLESS "WHITE".
ALONG THE EDGE OF THE COVER'S MOUTH OPENING
AND WHERE THE BAGGY ENDS, THERE IS THE SLIGHTEST
"HINT" OF MELLOWING DUE TO ITS EXPOSURE.
THERE IS A SMALL TEAR TO THE BAGGY TOWARDS
THE UPPER RIGHT AREA, YET THERE IS NO EFFECT TO
THE COVER, AND THAT PIECE OF THE BAGGY IS STILL INTACT.

THE SPINE IS PERFECT, SOLID THROUGHOUT AND COMPLETELY LEGIBLE.

The accompanying Record is THE Colorband and Oval
FEATURING THE 45-SIZE LABEL VARIATION.

Vee-Jay's habit of using whatever label backdrops
were available led to this strange and RARE variation -
a label that is not the standard size album label.
Instead it is a black label with an outer rim
Colorband featuring A SMALL
Oval logo on a 45-size label.

the condition of the record and labels is a beautiful vg+++,
displaying a high gloss sheen and deep shiny grooves.
WITH ONLY SOME hairline superficial surface marks evident.

In addition, the original Vee-Jay "Ad Back"
Inner Sleeve is also included.

Version 1

Finding Version One variations of Introducing The Beatles
are becoming very difficult to find clean
and this Mono example is quite an acquisition.

(ACTUAL PHOTOS)

The condition of this Column Back Cover is a sparking Near Mint
and obvious it has been very well stored and taken care of over the years.
Front Cover graphics are sparkling and sharp. NO ringwear, NO splits.

Back Cover is a tremendous and very clean white !

The original accompanying record is the very first Label variation
with the Colorband and Oval logo, usually paired with the "Ad Back" Cover.
Pressed by ARP, it has the machine stamped Audio Matrix and "ARP" logos
in the trail-off areas. It is in beautiful Near Mint Minus condition,
with 2 superficial hairline marks and a great, deep sheen to the grooves.

VJ1062(1).MR1A, Spizer :

In addition, the original Vee-Jay

wear that prevents it from a Near Mint grading.
Front Cover graphics are sparkling and sharp. NO ringwear, NO splits
and the spine is solid and legible from edge to edge.

(ACTUAL PHOTOS) :

Back Cover is a gorgeous White !
A "C" circular price stamp remains from 1964
on the upper right corner of the back Cover :

The accompanying Record is the Colorband and Oval variation
in very beautiful VG++ (bordering Near Mint Minus) condition,
displaying one light superficial scratch on Side 1 from the
run-out groove into the last track.

VJ1062(1).MR2, Spizer :

Apparently, this curiosity was pressed
after Monarch ran out of Album-size oval logo backdrops, but prior to
receiving the new album-size brackets logo label backdrops in mid-January 1964.

Introducing The Beatles

VJLP SR1062 STEREO, 2/10/64,
Version 2

ACCOMPANIED BY
RARER 45 SIZE STEREO LABEL VARIATION !

Here is a gorgeous example of the rarer STEREO Version 2 !
This Cover is a STUNNING NEAR MINT MINUS.

(ACTUAL IMAGES) :

NO ring-wear, NO dirt, NO splits. The front Cover image is
absolutely vibrant and bold. Only wear evident is the following :
some very minor shelf wear along the center bottom edge,
yet it remains solid all the way across. The bottom left corner tip shows a
touch of wear, and the bottom right at the tip of the mouth opening
displays some balding there. That is it.

The Back cover is clean throughout and
the tone of the white backround is bright.

The Spine is rock solid and legible throughout.

Vee-Jay's habit of using whatever label backdrops were
available even ocured with some Stereo records.
As was the case with Version One of this album
(also available from Fab 4 Collectibles),
some records were pressed with 45-Size Labels.
This variation has "INTRODUCING the BEATLES" and left justified
titles and credits printed on a 45-size black label with an outer rim
Colorband and small Oval logo. The word "STEREO" is at 3 o'clock.
The words "Microgroove" and "Long Playing" are not on the label.
Oddly enough, side number information is missing from
both sides of the record label !
Both sides have the machine stamped
"MR" logo, indicating that this disc was pressed by Monarch Records.
The condition of this example is a high sheen VG++ (slightly bordering VG+)
displaying some usual superficial light scuffs,
yet no deep major scratching wear at all.
The vinyl retains deep, beautiful grooves.
VJ1062(2).SR3, Spizer :

High end "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" albums
are true gems and are significant Collectibles -
especially for the less common STEREO pressings
including the rarer and odd 45 Size Stereo Label !

FIRST ISSUE VERSION TWO COVER :
RARE "PLEASE PLEASE ME"
WITHOUT COMMA !!

Here is the least common of Version Two covers,

and is the very first issue manufactured for
Introducing The Beatles.
These covers were produced from another
printing company contracted by Vee-Jay,
and have the assembly factor without the inside flaps,
VJ1062(2).MC1A, Spizer
('Songs Pictures Stories of The Beatles Records on Vee-Jay', page 191).

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The condition of this Cover is a brilliant Near Mint,
with bright, bold colors throughout.
No ringwear, no splits, no tears anywhere.
Only sign of wear is a ¼" area on left corner
of bottom edge. This is just a touch and very minimal.

The Back Cover is a shiny and clean white with no wear anywhere.

The spine is fantastic - solid and legible from end to end.

This rare Cover is accompanied by a most beautiful Record,
featuring
the Colorband and Brackets logo Label variation, pressed
by Southern Plastics. The weight of this thick Vinyl is quite heavy.
This Disc has the same typesetting as VJ1062(2).MR1A,
having left justified song titles and credits, including the
"Coffin-King" typo (should read "Goffin-King"),
with "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES",
"MICROGROOVE" and "LONG PLAYING" on the Label.
This example is a shimmering Near Mint Minus Vinyl
with 2 light, superficial lines on Side 1 preventing it from
Near Mint status. Beautiful, glossy Near Mint Labels.

WITH RARE 4" x 2¼"
TWIST AND SHOUT & PLEASE, PLEASE ME
SONG STICKER
ADHERED TO FRONT COVER

Offered here is a most wonderful example of a Version Two Cover
with the rare 4" x 2¼" song Sticker affixed directly to the front Cover slick.
VJ1062(2).MC1E, Spizer

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The Sticker has a crimson border with the word "FEATURING" in crimson
and "TWIST AND SHOUT" and "PLEASE, PLEASE ME" in purple.
All Covers with this Sticker (as this one) has back Covers with
"PLEASE, PLEASE ME" (with the comma) and the number "2" in the
lower right hand corner, which is a distributor or store stamp marking.

These Stickers almost always surface with much wear and
glue line aging saturation. The example being offered here
is the cleanest, very best one we have ever seen -
a real beauty and graded at Near Mint.

The condition of this Cover is a super and very solid VG+++.
No ringwear, no splits anywhere.
Some light handling wear is evident and each corner has minimal tip wear.

The Back Cover is a clean white without ringwear.

The spine is fantastic - totally solid and legible.

The accompanying Record is the
Colorband and Brackets variation without the
"Long Playing" and "Microgroove" print.
The condition is a shimmering Near Mint Minus,
displaying very little play with deep beautiful grooves.

Introducing The Beatles
VJLP1062 Mono, 2/10/64,
Version 2

By far the rarest Label variation of any Introducing The Beatles
Mono record is the all black label with silver print
featuring the small brackets logo.
VJ1062(2).MR6, Spizer.

(ACTUAL SCANS & PHOTOS) :

This Disc has the same typesetting as VJ1062(2).MR1A and MR2C,
having left justified song titles and credits, including the
"Coffin-King" typo (should read "Goffin-King"),
with "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES",
"MICROGROOVE" and "LONG PLAYING" on the Label.
This Record was manufactured by Southern Plastics.

When this variation does surface, they are usually found in
horrendous condition, always showing much wear and tearing
around the spindle hole due to the dark black paper Labels.
This example is a beautiful Near Mint Minus on both the Vinyl and Labels,
with very light and minimal spindle marks around the hole that do not
detract at all to diminish the condition. There is no tearing to the hole whatsoever.

The accompanying Cover also grades a wonderful Near Mint Minus, with
NO ringwear, NO seam splits.
Only wear evident is the usual corner wear on all four tips.
The colors and graphics remain bold, bright and crisp :

The Spine is nearly perfect : solid, centered and completely legible :

The Back Cover displays very nicely
with light handling, and a couple of aging spots.
This Cover is the Vee-Jay variation that has the
number "2" printed to the right of the word
"RECORDS" in the album's lower right corner :

This example of the rarest Introducing The Beatles
Mono Label variation, would be an imperative
addition for the "completist" Beatles Record Collector.
In addition, the original Vee-Jay
"Ad Back" Inner Sleeve is also there in this set :

Version 2

COVER REMAINS IN
ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP
& ACCOMPANIED BY
RARER 45 SIZE LABEL VARIATION !

Vee-Jay's habit of using whatever label backdrops were
available led to a strange variation of this record.
As was the case with Version One of this album
(also available from Fab 4 Collectibles),
some records were pressed with 45-Size Labels - which have
centered song titles and credits, including the
"Coffin-King" typo (should read "Goffin-King"), with
"Microgroove" and "Longplaying". However, it is printed on a
black Label with an outer rim Colorband featuring a small
Brackets logo on a 45-size label. This record was manufactured by ARP.
The condition of this example is a high gloss, clean
Near Mint Minus bordering VG++ with deep beautiful grooves.

As evident in the scan below, the Side 1 Label has VeeJay's
typical production flaw (also seen on many of their 45 singles)
where a small area of Vinyl on the circular rim has an uneven level,
therefore the applied Label has an uneven appearance.
VJ1062(2).MR3, Spizer :

The Record's accompanying Version 2 Cover is a
Near Mint true gem indeed, remaining in its Original
Shrinkwrap and presents itself magnificently.

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The only minor flaw is a missing 5½" piece of
torn shrink on the front Cover only in the upper right
area. Yet, that area of the Cover is unaffected by this, and
the only sign of handling wear is a millimeter touch
on the top edge near the right edge. There is also a 3" shrink split on
the bottom right edge, yet shrink remains completely intact
in that area. That is the extent of any imperfections on this Cover.
The graphics and its bold colors are sparkling on the Cover.

The Back Cover is impeccable, glossy, clean and white with no wear anywhere.

The spine is phenomenal - solid and legible from end to end.

Introducing The Beatles
VJLP1062 Mono, 2/10/64,
Version 2

Here we offer a most stupendous example of a Version Two set.
The Cover appears "AS NEW" - just an absolute beauty from corner to corner.
The graphics and images are brilliant and bold. NO ringwear, no splits.

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The only minor aspect from preventing this Cover to be graded at a
Mint Minus is a small area of a light age stain on the back cover
near the middle of right side edge. That is the extent
of any flaws on this brilliant example.

The spine is solid, crisp and legible all the way across.

The accompanying Mono record is the
Colorband and Oval label variation,
VJ1062(2).MR1B, Spizer.

It has small print throughout with left justified titles and credits.
The words "Long Playing" and "Microgroove" do not appear on the Label.
This variation has "URJ" and the matrix numbers 63-3402 and 63-3403
hand etched on both sides
. These characteristics are similar to
albums pressed by Columbia Records in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The condition of the record is a shimmering

The spine is solid, crisp and legible, with some wear on the corners only.

The words "Long Playing" and "Microgroove" do not appear on the Label.

THERE ARE TWO VERY TINY STAPLE HOLE PUNCTURES FROM
WHERE A PRICE STICKER ONCE WAS, EVIDENT NEAR THE UPPER LEFT
AREA OF THE FRONT COVER, ABOVE THE "H" IN THE WORD "THE"
IN THE PRINT "THE INTERNATIONAL BATTLE ....".
AGAIN, THESE STAPLE PUNCTURES ARE EXTREMELY SMALL
AND DOES NOT DETRACT FROM THE OVERALL BEAUTY.
OVERALL WEAR ARE JUST A COUPLE OF "HANDLING" RUB WEAR
POINTS ON THE FRONT COVER ONLY, AND THE CORNER TIPS HAVE MINOR,
SOFT SHELF WEAR BUT NOTHING DRASTIC. NO SEAM SPLITS, NO RIPS.

THE SPINE IS SOLID, COMPLETELY LEGIBLE WITH NO SPLITS,
WITH JUST A TOUCH OF DISCOLORATION AT THE VERY BOTTOM TIP.
GATEFOLD SPREAD REMAINS STUNNING WITH NO FLAWS AT ALL ! JUST GREAT :

Original POSTER that accompanied this release IS included
and is A BEAUTIFUL NEAR MINT MINUS, WITH VERY LITTLE
HANDLING WEAR, AND THE TWO TINY STAPLE PUNCTURES FROM THE
CORNER OF THE COVER, ARE EVIDENT NEAR THE FOLD OF THE POSTER
AT THE BOTTOM CENTER EDGE. HARDLY NOTICEABLE.

AMAZINGLY, BOTH RECORDS ARE MINT "AS NEW" UNPLAYED !
THE ORIGINAL SHEEN AND GLEAM IS STELLAR !
THE Labels ON BOTH ALBUMS
are UNBELIEVABLE, TRULY gorgeous THAT
APPEAR LIKE NEW WITH AN UNTOUCHED HIGH-GLOSS !
THE TWO ORIGINAL WHITE VEE-JAY GENERIC INNER SLEEVES
ARE INCLUDED, AND THOSE TINY STAPLE PUNCTURES ARE EVIDENT IN

THE BEATLES VS. THE FOUR SEASONS
VeeJay DXS-30, STEREO, 10/1/64
GATEFOLD COVER WITH POSTER

COVER REMAINS IN ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP !

WHAT AN ACQUISTION ! JUST THINK ! THE SHRINKWRAP HAS NEVER BEEN REMOVED
FROM THIS ULTRA-RARE "VEE-JAY STEREO" GATEFOLD RELEASE !
THE COVER WAS SLICED OPEN ALONG THE MOUTH OPENINGS AND SIMPLY STORED
AWAY SINCE 1964 ! IT IS AS CLOSE TO STILL SEALED AS ONE CAN GET !
THE RECORDS ARE UNPLAYED AND THE ORIGINAL ACCOMPANYING POSTER IS PERFECT !

WITH ONLY 725 COPIES OF THE STEREO PRESSING
BEING DISTRIBUTED TO THE PUBLIC IN 1964, IT IS NOT SURPRISING THAT
THE STEREO VERSION OF THIS ALBUM IS QUITE A RARITY !

THIS CLASSIC VEE-JAY DOUBLE ALBUM SET INCLUDES
THE BEATLES "INTRODUCING THE BEATLES" (VJLP1062) RECORD, ALONG WITH
THE FOUR SEASON'S "GOLDEN HITS OF THE FOUR SEASONS" (VJLP1065) ALBUM.

VEE-JAY'S CONCEPT WAS TO REPACKAGE THESE "ALREADY RELEASED" ALBUMS
TO LURE THE FANS INTO "RE-BUYING" THEM WITH THIS CLEVER "CONTEST" THEME.
THE RESULT WAS MANY UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS WHO REALIZED ONLY LATER
THEY ALREADY HAD THIS MATERIAL. BUT COLLECTOR'S TODAY COULDN'T BE
HAPPIER AS THEY NOW HAVE ONE OF THE MOST COLORFUL AND ELABORATE
BEATLES HISTORIC ALBUM COLLECTIBLES OF ALL TIME, AND SUPER RARE TO
FIND A STEREO EXAMPLE THIS BEAUTIFUL AND
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL POSTER !

THESE ARE THE ACTUAL IMAGES OF THIS GATEFOLD LP STEREO SET !

COVER GRADES A BRILLIANT NEAR MINT, WITH NO RINGWEAR OR SEAM SPLITS.
GRAPHICS & COLORS REMAIN AS VIBRANT AS THE DAY RELEASED !

ONLY MINOR FLAWS ARE EVIDENT ON THE CORNERS OF THE COVER
WHERE THE SHRINKWRAP IS PULLED BACK A MILLIMETER.
JUST A TOUCH OF TIP WEAR - BUT VERY MINIMAL.

Original POSTER that accompanied this release IS included
and is a GORGEOUS MINT MINUS :

Both Records are MINT MINUS AND APPEAR UNPLAYED, LIKE NEW !
Labels are equally gorgeous WITH AN UNTOUCHED HIGH-GLOSS !
Beatles Label: (VJ1062(2).SR2C
,Spizer), Colorband & Brackets :

Four Seasons (VJLP 1065) Label variation is identical,
also PRESSED BY ALLENTOWN RECORD COMPANY (ARC) :

ONE WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO ACQUIRE A CLEANER,
MORE SPLENDID EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE VEE-JAY STEREO GATEFOLD ISSUE
REMAINING IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP ...

... AND WOULD MAKE A MOST PROUD ADDITION
TO THE SERIOUS BEATLES RECORD COLLECTION !!

Songs, Pictures And Stories
of The Fabulous Beatles

VeeJay S-1092,
STEREO, 10/12/64
GATEFOLD COVER

WITH MEGA-RARE
RED "STEREO" STICKER !!!

This Vee-Jay album is a fancy re-packaging of the
second version of Introducing The Beatles, and as expected with all Vee-Jay records,
a STEREO pressing of this LP in this condition is a great FIND.
The scarcity of the STEREO Version of this record is not surprising considering
that less than 2% of the albums sold (7,375) were STEREO !!!

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The Cover offered here is not the standard Stereo
cover issued with this release
(with the word "STEREO" in blue at the top of the cover).
As was the case with the Introducing The Beatles LP,
Vee-Jay had the factories improvise stereo covers when
only mono covers were available.
This is the ULTRA-RARE version,
which is the Mono cover modified with a
RED RECTANGULAR STICKER (VJ1092.SC3, Spizer)
containing the word
"STEREO" in black :

The Sticker is simply PERFECT, and graded Mint Minus :

THESE STEREO STICKER VERSIONS ARE MUCH RARER
THAN THE NORMAL STEREO COVER
(Spizer, Page 161, VJ book).

The jacket has a GATEFOLD cover whose flap is
two-thirds of the full jacket's size. This example is simply stupendous,
for when attempting to open the Gatefold, it remains very stiff,
meaning that opening it has been minimal over the years.
The gatefold is FLAWLESS. No wear, no splits.

The back cover leaves no doubt that Vee-Jay was marketing this record
for young girls. Below Ringo's color-tinted picture is the phrase
"RINGO LOVES" and a blue dash-bordered heart containing the phrase
"PICTURE HERE". Similar pictures, language and hearts appear for the other Beatles :

The Condition of this set is just marvelous in every factor !
The Cover is a fantastic Near Mint Minus with just some minor handling wear points.
To find this fragile front Gatefold Cover in this condition
is quite a find for a Collector - especially the STEREO version !!!
The Spine, which is usually found in disastrous flaky condition,
is solid as a rock :

The accompanying Stereo record is in strong
VG++ respectable condition, and is the Colorband and Brackets
variation with "STEREO" print at the 12 o'clock position on the Labels.

GATEFOLD COVER

GATEFOLD COVER REMAINS
IN ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP !

This is the very first example we have ever acquired
of this release wherein the Cover remains in its original Shrinkwrap.
The gatefold has never been opened to see the light of day !
One rarely finds this title in this state, for everyone opened this
LP to peek inside upon purchase back in 1964.

The Near Mint (borders Near Mint Minus) Cover under
is in stupendous, bright, colorful condition.
There are just two wear points, due to where the shrink is torn a touch.
One is on the top left corner where the tip peeks through, and the same in the
bottom left corner, where a 1" shrink tear is evident. That's it !
No splits anywhere on this Cover. Just wonderful.
The original round $1.29 price sticker is still adhered to the front.

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The Back Cover is absolutely beautiful. No ringwear.
(Please note that the half circular ring
at the top is on the Shrinkwrap only)

The Spine, which is usually found in disastrous flaky
condition, is just beautiful, due to being
protected and encased in the Shrinkwrap :

The accompanying Mono record is in beautiful Near Mint Minus
condition, displaying some superficial light wear, with gleaming grooves.
Featuring the Colorband and Brackets Logo label, it
has left justified song titles and indented credits and
"LONG PLAYING" in two words, rather than the
alternate variation printed in one word.
This Record was pressed by ARC.

GATEFOLD COVER

This Mono pressing is simply the very best example we have ever acquired
of this release. The Cover, which is always so notorious for wear
and tear, is absolutely beautiful with dark, bold, bright colors,
There are just two very minor and minimal wear points.
One is on the bottom left corner, and an ½" along the bottom seam.
No splits anywhere on this Cover. Simply great.

(ACTUAL IMAGES)

The Back Cover is absolutely beautiful. No ringwear :

The gatefold is gorgeous. No wear, no splits.
Only areas of minor and light age "toning" is evident on
the two-thirds side of the gatefold only - on the upper right area
and the lower left near the bottom edge. All other areas are clean and white.

The Spine, which is usually found in disastrous flaky
condition, is simply beautiful :

The accompanying Mono record is in glistening Mint Minus condition,
simply stunning indeed, and truly appears to have been played once
and then stored. It features the all black Label
(without the outer rim Colorband) with silver print and
"VJ" in large block letters with "VEE-JAY RECORDS" printed below.
This particular variation has the word "SIDE" in upper case
and the thin microprint song titles. The Side 1 trail-off area,
has the hand etched job number ∆6307, the hand etched matrix
number 63-3402 and the Monarch Records logo
is scratched over, indicating a stamper previously used by Monarch.
The Side 2 trail-off has the hand etched matrix number 63-3403.

COVER REMAINS IN ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP !

Accompanying Record is RARER Revised
Label Variation Without "PRO" Suffix

Jim Steck, a radio newsman with KRLA in Los Angeles, and Dave Hull,
a popular disc jockey with the same station, each conducted interviews with the Beatles
during their 1964 American tour. After portions of these interviews were aired on
KRLA, Vee-Jay approached the pair and reached an agreement to release the interview
on an album. In order to flesh out a cohesive album, Vee-Jay employed the services
of Lou Adler, who edited the interviews applied crowd noises, screams and percussion
by Hal Blaine, a top flight Los Angeles session drummer.

(ACTUAL IMAGES & SCANS OF LABELS)

The back cover of the album is reminiscent of the Ad Back Cover
on the first issue of Introducing The Beatles in that
it features miniature pictures of
album covers and singles picture sleeves.

The condition of the Cover is a STUPENDOUS Mint Minus
with bold vibrant colors and remains
in the ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP.
All white areas remain clean and "snow" white.
Only minor flaw is a 2" shrink slice on the Back Cover
near the top center, yet the shrink remains intact there
and there is no affect to the Cover at all in that area.

The accompanying Record is in stellar and gleaming
UNPLAYED MINT MINUS condition, which features the revised label
variation which is considerably rarer as fewer copies were
manufactured.

It has the same typesetting and trail off area
markings as the first label, except that its release
number does not have the "PRO" suffix.
(VJ 202 MR1B), Spizer.

One very seldom finds this release in such wonderful condition, and it
appears that the Cover was simply opened,
and then stored away since November 1964 !
