THE U.K. FIRST ISSUE STEREO PRESSING OF "SGT. PEPPER" IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT to find than the bigger selling mono edition, AND HERE FAB 4 COLLECTIBLES IS PROUD TO OFFER FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION THE EXTREMELY RARE VERY FIRST INITIAL stereo PRESSING OF "sgt. pepper".  HOUSED IN the EARLY-TYPE FULLY LAMINATED, INNER-FLIPOVER "GARROD & LOFTHOUSE ltd." PRINTED stereo gatefold COVER, indicated and featured by the rarer 9MM SQUARE / "WIDE" SPINE. the SENSATIONAL near mint cover is A TRULY A FIRST class example of this rare AND early cover variation which retains a vibrant, un-faded front panel where the only trace of wear is a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle and slight rubbing from storage. There is slight shelf wear bruising to the lower two corners but the upper two and all opening edges are free from any significant wear. Both panels inside the gatefold are pristine. The rear panel is similarly rich in color with the only flaws being an unavoidable light disc impression and a light scratch to the laminate along the spine area, but no 'thumbnails' or spine bends. All seams are smooth with no stresses or splits to any. The spine is clean, fully worded and laminated and looks great on the shelf.

THIS ORIGINAL INITIAL STEREO FIRST  PRESSING DISC IS AN ABSOLUTE JEWEL, THAT HAS THE BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE LABELS WITH GRAMOPHONE PERIMETER PRINT AND "SOLD IN U.K.". THE  Labels GRADE A SPECTACULAR MINT MINUS, A MOST pristine pair with just one or two barely visible spindle marks around the side 2 centER hole but none whatsoever on SIDE 1. UPON close examination beneath an unforgiving halogen light reveals nothing more than a few barely visible wispy paper marks from the once or twice this disc has been removed from its inner SLEEVE and a sparkling rainbow shine. Both sides lAY 100% flat on the turntable when playing with no dishing or warping. THE AUDIO ON THIS IS MINT, WITH Flawless AND wonderful sound quality throughout this amazing disc which has been played no more than once or twice.  Every track plays cleanly, clearly with no trace of any audible wear. There are certainly no ticks, clicks, pops or anything to distract from the warmth AND presence of this pressing. You will not find a better sounding FIRST stereo pressing of this incredible album. THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE: "YEX 637-1" AND "YEX 638-1". THE STAMPER CODES ARE: "2 / P" AND  "2 / O".
